Anomalous Reality

Consciousness. Information. Reality.

Consciousness as threshold

Reality is not only encountered. It is rendered, interpreted, stabilized, and sometimes disturbed.

Anomalous Reality explores the conditions in which lived reality becomes unstable, symbolic, intensified, predictive, or impossible. The event may remain ambiguous. The experience is real. The interpretation is the object of inquiry.

01 Anomalous Experience States where ordinary reality becomes charged, unstable, or excessively meaningful.
02 Consciousness The mind as a participant in how the world is rendered as experience.
03 Realized Information Symbols, beliefs, stories, and expectations becoming active in perception, memory, and action.
04 Cognitive Affectations Fascination, dread, awe, suggestion, absorption, and the altered salience they produce.
05 Experiential Design Composed encounters with attention, expectation, context, symbol, timing, and participation.
